Tiger
by Keith Cains
Several years ago, I had a serious accident which immobilised me for a long time.
As I was unable to move very much, I started drawing to keep occupied.
This is the first of a series of pen and ink drawings done during that time.
The tiger is from a photograph, but the background is all from imagination.
I used sepia ink to give a softer effect, rather than black ink.
It was tedious and time consuming work. but I enjoyed every moment of it.
The drawings enabled me to rise above my physical restrictions and greatly helped my path to recovery.
