Family Elephant

I developed this painting from several photographs, which I arranged as shown.
The identity of the various photographers is unknown, so I am unable to credit them by name but thank them nevertheless.
The lead elephant was quite painstaking to paint, as I laid in the dark shadows and softened the edges, but the rest of them came together more readily.
Altogether, I worked on it for about one week.
I decided to stay with black and white rather than colour. It just seemed appropriate
