Home Schooling with academics doesn’t work? What about physical fitness boot camp?
Get outside and get physical with sports or enjoying nature with biking and hiking and share the experience with another family.
As mentioned yesterday, share with other families. Double your bubble with another trusted family but instead of trying to do home schooling then share physical activity time with one parent running a sporting game, races, and physical fitness activities. Again if shared one can be responsible for a designated period while the other parents can tend to working at home or other activities with out children under foot.
Options:
– A weekly inter-family competition recording the scores for each activity. Each family can take on a name and a symbol/animal totem. At the end of each week celebrate accomplishments.
– A non competitive sharing of activities. Rather than identify individual families, come up for a join club or activity name.
– An individual skills improvement. Ask the kids what they would like to get better at then introduce training in each of the activities. All children participate in every activity, possibly learning something new and or improving with an existing known sport. Share at the end of the week what they learned and maybe have it not just a success discussion but frame it around what I learned from failure.
– Kids coach parents on how to engage in a particular sport.
– At the end of the week it’s a parent competition with the children directing and coaching.
