Hadfield’s statement, “Every single person you meet is struggling.” He goes on to say that we are all struggling to constantly make sense of our world.
This statement is so true! It speaks to our need to recognize that we are ALL vulnerable in our own way. It is subduing those egotistical, ‘I am right so I will judge you’ tendencies staying grounded in the state of humility. It is maintaining our sense of openness and acceptance to opportunity, change and flexibility. Naturally as a universe we evolve and adapt.
As humans, we are gifted with a soul that is rooted conscience. It’s the processing of analysis in tandem with our values. Given we are all hail from unique perspectives, and we exist in a world where we must find free flowing growth path, we have the option to destroy that which is in our way or we may choose to negotiate and cooperate. Adaptation rooted in negativity is rooted in control, dominance, scarcity, fear, righteousness and hate. Adaptation grounded in positivity defers to curiosity, acceptance, equality, abundance, respect, courage and love. How do we want to adapt?
If we go back to Hadfield’s advice that appeals to our sense of empathy, “Every single person you meet is struggling,” let’s evolve and adapt as a universe of love. How can we support in leading others at work and at home? Looking at models such as servant leadership, strengths based leadership and respectful choice based theories that foster growth mindsets.
