This Week’s Rain:

A Baptismal Metaphor

Three flags containing a single word. Faith, Hope and Charity.

After experiencing the stress, struggles, suffering of CoVid 2020, this week of rain has been a cleansing reminder to shake off negativity and enter 2021 with faith, hope and charity, the three biblical virtues.

Rain cleanses and overrides excessive positive ions, restoring negative ions to the environment, which ironically restores positive energy and vitality to us. Rain is healing! Let’s stop complaining about it, put on our wellies and splash in the puddles! Or watch the weather reports and dodge the heavier downpours, as I am about to do today. Perceive rain as a natural baptism.

Listening to reflections from media, friends and family, I hear an overwhelming hope for a positive 2021. Moreover, I hear people committed to the faith in their higher power and optimistic resolve that things will change. That the universe will lovingly heal and direct us to paths fostering positive growth and healing. We seem to have gone back to the basics: Faith, hope and charity.

In my meditative and loss for more words state, I leave you with these great blog links to a very special, wise, and renowned mystic Carolyn Myss. She guides us with wisdom like no other can.

Friends walk, play and dance in the rain as you root yourself in faith, follow your hope and live in loving humble service to others. Here’s to 2021!
